I took the new kittens to the vet this morning for their first shots and exam. They're all fine, but it turns out that Gracie is a boy! Even the vet said, "how can you tell with all this fur?" LOL
Anyway, now he needs a new name--and perhaps that's why he's been hiding under the dishwasher.
Other things here are good. Trying to do some cleaning out of closets now that I have time to do so (and it's also incentive to lose some weight!) and getting paperwork updated. We meet with our social worker on Tuesday to go over what needs to be taken care of for the home study update, and then I think we have all the information we need to get everything switched over. There are a few more hoops to jump through, but we've jumped through them before, so.....
Hope everyone has a Happy and safe Halloween! Much love!

Ha! I once had a cat I named Sabrina. Beautiful, sleek, long hair, and spunky who always walked with the tail down and HATED stomach scratches. We, too, learned at an early vet appointment that Sabrina was a he, not a she! He knew his name so well I didn't have the heart to change it, so we started calling him Bri (bree) instead. Poor boy lived for 15 years with that name!
Honestly, You are luck he is still talking to you! Just kidding. Kittens are just puffs of fur and I do not think that I would be able to tell them apart either.
So glad to hear that your paperwork is coming along!!! Yeah! Make sure you have that boy/girl thing down before you go to Russia if you really want a girl...just kidding. Couldn't resist! So funny.
Maybe you could name him Mockba. Sounds very strong and Russian.
That happened to us with our Jack! He has so much fur and we assumed it was a girl because that's what we were told by the lady we got him from. Then the vet said "Ooops!" and you know what - as far as I'm concerned he could be either, although we chose to go with the vet, becuase I've never looked with all that fur down there!!! They are so adorable!!
