No longer a “teen”

Today Miss K is 20 months old!  Some pictures from the day:

All about cousins…

Miss K  loves her cousins, Wyatt and Jack.  Unfortunately for Wyatt, the only name she can say is “Jack”---so they’re both “Jack”.

The other night when Mom was here, we went over to see the boys.  They decided to take K for a ride in the neighbors’ toy car.  Here’s what happened:

   

Sunday afternoon---some yogurt, and FINALLY a bow in her hair!

A few pictures of this last Sunday---miss k finally let me put a bow in her hair for church (I think because her bangs are so long that she can’t see!) and left it in all afternoon.  She’s also getting very good at feeding herself, as the pictures show—this girl LOVES her yogurt.

I know that I have been not so good at actual postings with news lately---there has been a lot going on lately.  We’ve had our first post-placement visit (and it was very successful), and we’re also in the process of moving at the end of June—so things here are a bit crazy.  I’ll try to keep up with the pictures, and also keep you all up to date on how miss k is doing as we go, and then hopefully catch up on the news when we get all settled.

My daughter the computer nerd…. :-)

We have this ancient Amiga computer that we bought soon after we got married.  Right now, the only place to keep it is in the laundry room.  We still have it because of a game that’s on it---my husband and our friend Kenn LOVE to play Bandit Kings of Ancient China.  It’s sort of a male bonding thing, I guess. I really just don’t understand.

Anyway,  I came home to this the other afternoon:

Glenda, the Glamorous Gecko

 

We went to run an errand this morning after I got done at the dentist.  Please meet Glenda, the Glamorous Gecko.  We’re so happy to welcome her to our family!

Seriously, I think stores do this on purpose…Glenda was on a bottom shelf, with her Webkins friends, and was just at the right height for someone to snag her as we walked past.  I wouldn’t have bought her (we have WAY too many stuffed animals already), but K is teething and had already chomped down on Miss Glenda’s tail before I even noticed she’d been manhandled.

The funniest part of all of this:  Miss Glenda is now hanging out with our napping child, wet gecko tail and all.  But, as Karina was nodding off for her nap, she pushed Glenda over to the side and grabbed Slicky Bunny to snuggle with.  Old friends are apparently the best friends when you’re teething!
